I pursued my MBA while working. All they need to know is that you're trying to learn and better yourself.
I understand your hesitation. Your field of study is more specialized than a general degree like an MBA. You can always lean into the activism angle (for example, saying, 'I want to be better informed in political discussions').
This is super smart… you may have just given me a super strong way to position myself. While I don’t try to talk about politics at work, activism is an important part of my life outside of work. So I could just say that. And I do enjoy learning for learning’s sake so there’s that, too.
