I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.

A hiring freeze means you have gaps in your pipeline. Oil and gas largely stopped hiring during low oil prices 20 years ago and had massive issues when half their workforce was eligible for retirement at once.
You also want to bring in fresh ideas from graduates, especially as a technical company.
Their quarterly review of financial performance and workforce capacity should allow them to make gradual adjustments instead of waiting until one massive correction, which often results in negative PR
Because X% of the workforce is always useless. The adage that 20% of the people do 80% of the work exists for a reason
Well, that's the Pareto Principle, not an adage ;)
