Any reasonable monthly parking in Midtown?
I have been given a verbal offer of 145k base for a Sr. Associate role as Data Analytics Lead. The offer doesn’t come with any kind of bonuses or stocks.
I have a Masters and 5+ years of exp and my current comp is 115.5k + approx 5k bonus + ~20k in stocks (yearly refreshes) which makes my total current comp to 140k.
Is it worth taking the offer for increase in just the base?
What are my chances of negotiating into a VP level role with at-least 155k?

I’m also thinking about leaving as an American
Living the country or living the earth?
Or just living the life?
Yes, everyday.
Wasn’t trying to be. Mainly that I see this mistake made so often by writers.
That and people using EST/PST etc all year and never switching to DT.
I’m a EU/US dual citizen and I’m staying - for now. My gf has student loans that are yet to be paid off, we have two mortgages, kids and pets, and uprooting ourselves now just seems like a major hassle.
We’d also take a 60-70% (if not more) pay-cut if we moved, so we’ll stay and save as much as possible, and maybe purchase a cheapish property in Europe outright in the next few years as a backup/retirement plan.
I hate the current state of affairs here, and our country has turned into a complete clown show. But with Europe bordering Russia and the middle east, Europe isn’t feeling like the safe haven it used to be either. Especially not with a US government that seems to question it’s Nato allegiance, and European countries’ next-to-nothing military defense capabilities.
Most of my clients are in the us, and if I move, I doubt they would even care, so I have that going for me. Also, renting my house is almost enough to rent an apartment in Spain AND pay for mortgages.
Even better of a deal to go to South America. Peru, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay are not half bad places to live.
On a serious note: why would I leave? Because there is some political turmoil? That’s not a reason to leave.
I can give you a pretty good example. Someone I know got their GREEN CARD canceled over a speeding ticket.
Yeah, you can say drive slow. but sometimes you just mindless go 30 on a 25 mph street and the whole life you built here is over. and not only that they ask nicely for you to leave so you have time to pick your stuff and get everything in order. no you might even end on a jail somewhere in central america for a while.
Someone else I know had elderly parents visitings that got detained and had to say 48h detained on the airport, no food, limited water while being grilled by immigration.
They just wanted to see their grandkids.
So no I can't have my parents visiting me in this situation and I have kids and I wish they could see them more than one week a year when I go.
But even going is now very stressfull...
3 years of this? I don't think I want it. But also I invested a lot of money, time and energy building my life here. So this sucks.
Trump is thinking about it for you.
I wish I could react to this comment with: 😰
fml with this typo. but yeah I've been thinking about living too and it aing great right now.
I recently returned to Australia and it feels great.
EU Green Card Holder here. Thinking about it but waiting to see what happens next. He’s old. He could die any day now.
one can dream but in case of his death we have vice president oreo face which might be worse?
Now is a time to bring out two cliches:
Live each day like it’s your last
YOLO
🫡
Yeah. All the time
UK Greencard holders for 16 years; we are leaving. CMO wife, ECD hubby, two twenty-year-old kids. Very sad, but we know time is up. Thanks for everything my good old USA - fond memories of a wonderful place.
Live AND let live.
Living or Leaving?
I live every day
