www.stepuptothetable.com
#stepuptothetable is about helping local restaurants who are struggling during these times. I have seen numerous linkedin posts with videos where people challenge each other to step up to the table & buy meals & gift cards from their community restaurants. A great way for those of us who are more fortunate to support business & keep people employed.

It definitely is a drawback of working at home. Do others feel like it’s still worth it? I still do even though I’m also pretty sure I’ve been passed over because I’m not actually seen around the office.
I could see how that happens. There is no visibility when you are working from home. In the office, it is easy to communicate with management and other staff. It provides more opportunities to interact with others and be seen. You get to know people on a more personal level and have a better opportunity to demonstrate your professionalism. It's not right but it is definitely a drawback of working from home.
Invest in online courses, attend webinars, or even consider a remote friendly professional development program. Show your commitment to continuous learning and upskilling. It helped a lot for me.
