1st year consultant at accenture MC supply chain practice in nyc, what should I expect in pay increase and bonus this year ?
My friend is getting 'x lpa' in ABC company. He got an offer of x + 2,25,000 + 75k joining bonus from deloitte and joining date is on 3rd week of jan. In current organization, Manager confirmed that, he will be promoting from SE to SSE (effective 1st December). Now he can see his promotion letter in company portal. In Nov 1st/2nd week, he will get salary revision letter and promotion salary is effective from dec month. Can he renegotioate his offer of 'D' based on the promotion salary?
Can someone explain to me the appeal of consulting (and I don’t mean it facetiously) other then comp - I’m on the startup side of things rn but just curious more than anything
Am I fairly paid? Promo to manager and new total comp is 170 split as 145 / 25. I’m 100% remote in a very very low COL market. Just graduated with mba and below the new 160 salaries but my avg weeks
As I prepared to file my notice, the partner of the firm called me and asked me to stay. They’re willing to promote me mid year in December and increase salary next year in August. The current offer I have gives 60% pay increase and Partner still can’t match that offer after promotion. Firm leadership says here I have potential to be a partner in 8 years and talk about all the leadership support I have rn which is fair. Is this one of their tactics to make me stay or should I just leave…
I signed an employment offer with a Company a week ago, and just yesterday received a(written) offer I am very more excited about! (Better salary, opportunities..) The HR of the other company is sending me the onboarding emails to start this Monday but I didn’t update my address to get the computer shipped. What should I do? Is it bad to join knowing I will leave or should I rescind now? I haven’t signed the other offer yet and my tentative start date (due to background checks+) is in November.

Some of you are “following the money” into stagnation. Sometimes money shouldn’t be the sole consideration for taking a position. What are your long term goals? Does the position align? Is the environment conducive to your growth? Sometimes the lower paying option could lead you on the path to C-Suite in long term

What happens if you don’t meet utilization targets in a year? I switched from audit to advisory and have been here 2 months and my billable hours are way less than I was expecting (avg 30 a week). I’ve had good feedback on my projects and ask for more work in my down time, but the change of pace from when I was in audit is stressing me out.
Name your firm and whether you now can WFH...
Consulting vets, normal? I was lured into consulting and lost benefits due to the challenging transformation program being right up my alley. I have a multi year contract with heavy director duties promising fast track to Sr leadership. Day 1 I find out Iead no one and the MD is in charge. A few months later I get involved in spending nights and weekends for 3 weeks making a 60+ page deck. Company wins part of the contract and hires 12 more. Since then I have been ignored by them. No bonus!
Ok I don’t want to sound hypersensitive, but does anyone else think the phrase “on the bench” is kind of harsh? I’m not even on the bench but I feel slightly uncomfortable saying it
