Has anyone received an offer letter from EXL (Inductis India Pvt Ltd) that was extremely restrictive and reading which felt like one is signing up for going to prison rather than get employment? No leave policy mentioned, hundreds of paragraphs of worst case scenarios, pathetic salary breakup, etc. ?

LEK
Deloitte
ACC
Bain
Recommend them to Bain
P1's response is probably /thread
Though I think LEK most prestigious of the three
He's not leaving Bain - he's asking for a friend first entering consulting.
Deloitte
Worked at both. Accenture has done a nice job of rebuilding their strategy practice. They still focus as a firm pretty heavily on outsourcing and technology, leveraging strategy as an entry point to bigger $$. Deloitte acquired Monitor and has built a pretty robust Strategy offering as well that is a little more focus on customer and the business. Both have highly skilled people. I think in the short run, pay will be similar. In the long run there can be a bigger carrot of Principal at Deloitte but it has gotten a lot more competitive to get there. My advice - go where you liked the people best.
LEK if they want to do DD and minimal travel. ACN/Deloitte if they want large clients, client exposure, and big corporate experience. Pay bands are the same across all with LEK lagging a little bit behind until Mgr. ACN Strategy does have faster career progression and has separated most of its project/change management work to MC whereas Deloitte groups all in S&O. In terms of quality of work I think of S&O and ACN generally similar with either having some better industry/functional groups than the other (e.g S&O has a strong cpg group vs life sciences/HC is great at ACN strat)
Definitely LEK if first rodeo into generalist strategy consulting. S&O has more general big4 bs than it likes to pretend from a personal career development standpoint, but in the market it's killing it bc of its cost effective delivery process, making it irresistible to clients. (Props to their leadership and internal strategy team for this...PwC can learn a lot from them.) Don't have enough knowledge into Accenture to speak on the experience there.
Parthenon is strong esp in education space. They do a lot of PE DD too. I’m at Bain and can say that parthenon’s DD practice is well regarded here
We infrequently compete with Deloitte and never compete with ACC due to project type mix. Your friend should choose based on the enormous difference between their prospective day to day work at these three firms. If he/she sees them as similar, I hope they don't choose LEK.
Do they want to do b-school? Then Deloitte. If not, I’d go Accenture
Depends completely on his/her goals & lifestyle choices
What are your guys' thoughts about Parthenon ?
KPMG
LEK I wouldn't even keep on the table personally. If you are leaving Bain for a new experience, LEK is just a "not as good, not as big" Bain. Not saying they don't have a strong practice, just saying that the jump to ACN or Deloitte would give you a new experience. LEK will just make you wish you started with Bain.
LEK = $$$
Depends entirely on your friend's goals. Go with whichever is strongest in your friend's chosen industry.
