I’ve never heard Gen X described as lazy…more the opposite. I’m at the edge of Gen X and Millennial but always felt more aligned with Gen X. I must have gone through my mid life crises early bc I did some soul searching 5 years ago about what was really important to me and how I wanted to change my life. I made career and family decisions and feel good about it where I ended up.
Ha, No.. Gen X is the opposite of lazy.
Never heard Gen X described as lazy. Apathetic, maybe but we’re the hardest working least entitled.
I’ll echo the definitely not lazy sentiment. We’ve grown up with the ultimate double standard of having to do all of the women/wife/mom/parent load plus hustle at our jobs to even try to compete with our male “counterparts”.
Yes agree and we didn’t even have rich parents to let us live in their house or help us buy house.
Lazy!? Definitely not. Maybe a bit more pessimistic than other generations, but can you blame us? Love all my fellow Gen X peeps, especially us ladies. I think we’re pretty badass. Book and street smarts with a little bit of punk rock mixed with class!
This was the stock photo they went with?
Definitely. I feel like being right on the border between gen X and the millennial generation, I have often found myself at odds with how they describe gen X. But I'm relating more to them in the past couple years and this concept of the mid life crisis is really hitting home for me lately. i am seriously SO tired
Lazy? I’ve never heard that - and I’ve done generational research for work. Cynical and wanting to have a life outside of work, but not lazy.
