Genuine question - not trying to be snarky - but why do recruiters withhold information about positions like salary or the name of the agency unless you get on the phone with them?
Isn’t that wasting everyone’s time as it might be an agency I’m not interested in or a salary that is below what I want??

For those people who have been on the advising side of informational interviews, what kind of questions or actions from a job seeker impressed you?

How do you get experience when no one will hire you? I wouldn’t mind hanging a shingle but I feel it’d be irresponsible to do so with no experience. Unlike all of my classmates, I never landed an internship/externship in law school - had only one interview. I was a PT law student, came from a CS background, and worked in IT throughout law school. I passed the bar exam on my first try (Oct 2020) and have only had a couple interviews out of the hundreds of applications I sent out. Any suggestions?

I've been searching for a new job because I know I am underpaid. I have 12+ years of experience in the event industry and seven years in the Event Tech world.
