Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

I quit today :)
Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

Hi there! Interviewing w/Amazon for a non-tech role (Associate Category Manager aka Associate Buyer) and was asked what my salary requirements are for base+bonus+equity. Can anyone share insight on what Amazonians make in this role. I have 4 YOE and glassdoor is not very helpful.
Any feedback is appreciated 🙏 Amazon

You could always request to stay on health insurance for two-three months. The worst they could do is say no.
Use chat GPT, tell it your situation, state, role, title, tenure and ask it to write you a letter to negotiate your severance package.
You'd be surprised - it's a great tool at this and positions things like "how long it takes to find comparable work in the current job market", "how long it takes someone at your level to find work" and "how long it takes to find work in your industry or field"
All of these are legit ways to ask for a better package - but use chatGPT as your starting point and I'd recommend writing the letter yourself. but ALWAYS negotiate.. the worst thing they'll say is no - the agreement, is the agreement.

Really, you have no leverage to negotiate, unless your original employment agreement gave a different number of weeks severance. Sorry this happened to you.
I thought you get a flat eight weeks +2 weeks for every year you worked there. Is that not the case or does it make a difference since they are eliminating your position?
Were you in a union ? Did you have a contract ? Your answer to these questions is the answer to yours ?
Just take the office supplies. No one will notice.
Negotiate politely, ask chatgpt to write you nice polite email to the HR person, they expect you to negotiate. Main point is ask politely and frame it as you are seeking support from the company while you are searching for another job, don't make it into a fight. They may give you additional 2 or 3 weeks.
