Coffee! Also, change your attitude. Saying you’re unable to is half the battle. For me I get to work around 830/9 then get home around 6. Take an 1-2 hour nap to break up my work-to-study screen time then study til midnight/1am.
You have to also set boundaries and prioritize the exam over work and leave at a reasonable time. You passing the test is more important than you crushing hours at this point of your career.
Once I started waking up early or staying up late, my body adjusted in about a week. You just have to power through those first days!
Checkout Superfast CPA. It provides some tips on getting up early but it also provides a lot of helpful tips for getting in 5-10 minute study breaks during the day and listening to audio notes during your commute to work
I had the same problem - too tired from work to get up early or work late for the long term. I set up three 1.5 week vacations and an exam day Monday. Then would only wake up early and study late for 1 week before the vacation. Ended up passing all my exams this way on the first try (except FAR, which I had passed during the summer before starting work)
Thanks everyone! Seems like the only way to do it is to just do it. Wish there was a better way. Just a little overwhelmed/frustrated with the material/volume of Far esp bc this is my last exam and really need to pass.
I’m gonna try to sleep early tonight and wake up early tomorrow
