Given the hot sellers market, do you guys think I should plan to sell my house on my own (private) vs get an agent? Want to minimize closing costs/fees. Thanks!

We’ve sold twice on our own. Worked very well for us.

Awesome! How difficult was it to get up to speed on the process? My assumption is our house should sell fast which is why an agent may not be needed

I’ve had several nightmare sale scenarios and as a result of would never try to transact without a realtor. Things can go sideways very quickly and having an expert in your corner - who has good connections with title companies, lenders, etc - is worth its weight in gold.

I’ve done it on my own , but easier to have an agent do it especially if you don’t think the house will be scooped up right away. You can also negotiate the real estate agent fee with them

I was the only female working in an office full of male analysts. My CEO didn't realize I was there, and went on and on about the last (and only other) female to leave the company, and asked if anyone knew if she ever in her life had a boyfriend because she seemed like such a b*+ch.... She didnt talk much, but I related due to the blatant uncomfortable sexism around the office. I recently left for other similar and worse remarks. They denied giving me my bonus (2 weeks away). Worth a fight? $33k
