Given the hot sellers market, do you guys think I should plan to sell my house on my own (private) vs get an agent? Want to minimize closing costs/fees. Thanks!

We’ve sold twice on our own. Worked very well for us.

Awesome! How difficult was it to get up to speed on the process? My assumption is our house should sell fast which is why an agent may not be needed

I’ve had several nightmare sale scenarios and as a result of would never try to transact without a realtor. Things can go sideways very quickly and having an expert in your corner - who has good connections with title companies, lenders, etc - is worth its weight in gold.

I’ve done it on my own , but easier to have an agent do it especially if you don’t think the house will be scooped up right away. You can also negotiate the real estate agent fee with them

For rent paid below 1 lakh there is no need to submit landlord's PAN. I have calculated based on my HRA and if I show rent paid as around 96k my tax refund will be around 13k.

I am doing a back door Roth IRA through Vanguard and while everything makes sense to me, I am unsure if an additional $6000 be invested for a non working spouse. We satisfy the criteria but two questions - 1) Is this still valid I.e., $12k can be invested for 2021? And 2) Any insight into how this is done - Vanguard doesn’t let me add more than $6k as it’s above the individual limit. I tried searching the bowl for specific answers but wasn’t successful. Inputs appreciated.
