Hi I’m a current Graduate student, hoping to get my foot in the door for Deloitte Healthcare Consulting, Accenture CDP, or EY specifically within Chicago Offices. Is there anyone open to connecting and speaking on their experience being hired? I have previous experience working prior to my degree so hoping to get insight on how I can best score an interview. If you’re also open to providing a referral that would be a bonus!

1. What kind of work do they like? It’s important that you both have overlapping taste. Doesn’t need to be identical. But if you don’t laugh at the same humor, it will be harder.
2. What is their preferred work schedule? And on a related note, what are their goals? If one of you wants to burn midnight oil and the other one thinks you should always turn off email notifications at 6PM, it’s going to be a rough go.
Aside from those two things, just ask them about their past experiences. Be conversational. You will learn a lot about someone based off of how they talk about the previous few years of their career (ex. do they seem bitter or optimistic, etc?)
What they expect from this job offer (best teams are aligned on career goals, not perfectly, but in a majorityof aspects). And not ask, but talk in the sense of aligning what's gonna be the workflow between you 2. The least surprises you have the better. My last was a phisycopah (I hope she's in hell, nothing but a well deserved hell). Good luck!

Ask them what parts of the job they over-commit on, and what parts of the job they find hard. This will give you an indication of where you would be picking up the slack.

HAHAHAHAH this made me LOL.
If they could only ask one question to understand a person's personality, what would it be?
