Got a "Letter of Expectations" this week. Basically a PIP. I can afford to retire now so responded with some potentially discriminatory incidents and asked for a severance package in exchange for release of claims. Wish me luck!

Hello! I’d like to share an experience and hopefully receive guidance.

I spent two years as an executive, and while I was providing what I believe was impactful work, and receiving praises across the board, I got fired from one day to the other without any explanation.

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

2 months later and I am still waiting...

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

Currently I make a base of $63k/yr and $1k/mo in bonuses pre-tax. I manage a performance for a team of licensed insurance agents (service-based role in a direct business environment), maintain our business relationships, and support adhoc training needs. I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.
