You are selling yourself short
What am I missing? What should I be asking?
You are at the top end of comp band for CL6…don’t expect much increase after. I suggest you ask for CL5 since it doesn’t make much difference for Accenture but you can go in with a higher banding for future years.
CL6/5 are the worst in Accenture that’s for sure. You are expected to sell like MDs, deliver, manage team, build client relationships, maintain high chargeability for both yourself and teams, do own pricing and negotiate with client for steep margins, manage your project finance, manage pipeline, write your own contracts, write your own invoices, collect payment from client, etc while also doing extra curricular like people advocacy, teaching, I&D, etc.
Thanks A3! Really appreciate the feedback!
Cl6 is worst level and they earn 220?
What's a good level and what do they pay?
Currently interviewing with Accenture and the recruiter is tossing around similar numbers. Very interested to hear how this lands. Would also be interested in getting a better understanding of the CL ranking system as it relates to salary.
CL6 is career level for Senior Manager. Each position has a corresponding level (example CL7 is Manager, CL4 MD). Salary bands for each career level are pretty wide.
I just came to know that IBM also will be presenting an offer. Details : Band 9, 265K base + 35K sign on. No RSU's. I'm so confused now? Anyone chime in please? Anyone from IBM here?
Hey not IBM but if you are looking from pay perspective take the IBM one. The Accenture RSU locks you in for 3 years. You can take the higher pay from IBM and have more freedom on where you invest that extra money. Also if you are looking for another move in future, recruiters negotiate your next job pay based on your base. They don’t look at your bonuses/RSU. So better off with higher base.
Reputation wise, yes Accenture Interactive is out in the lead in digital but IBM IX have been building rapidly at least in my region and they are a strong competitor esp in Salesforce skills. I’m in Asia and I’m in Interactive.
This role is with IBM Global Services/Salesforce Practice and not iX. The Bluewolf acquisition team.
