Stealth layoffs at CWT confirmed.
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Don't do it. You will regret it!
Heard from a PPD that IBM acquired a bunch of shitty firms recently that had no vetting process, so IBM is full of retards
^Said PPD transferred to my firm as a result
I left . Don't do it
Good: work life balance (>50 hours a week on average), no layoffs
That's what my gut says too!! Glad to hear that it was right...I literally hear no positive feedback about that place
Everyone I've talked to says that place is a hole
And that's coming from someone at EY so you know they aren't kidding
@EY2 I hear good things about EY lately. Is this not so? What industry / market offering are you I
Bad: fake culture, unearned sense of importance, boring work coming in, low value on lower people (not sure if these are applicable across all firms)
I have never heard a single good thing about IBM (from IBM people I've worked with). I was on a project that interfaced with a team from IBM; they no shit had 200% turnover for the project team quitting the firm.
@EY2 - what do you mean fake?
Lots of lying about what people are working on to make it sound like they aren't doing something shitty. In an effort to be polite, people don't actually give the feedback needed to make proper improvements so people stagnate in quality.
Yeah overall I'm just not feeling it
