For those who hire new software developers, does it make you stand out if you get your certificate from a university instead of a coding academy (like coding dojo or something)? Have any of you taken "low bono" clients while working at a firm? I want to take on a low bono client or two but not sure who would get the money. This is a contract opportunity through a non profit so I'm assuming a 1099 will be issued. The per hour rate is significantly less than my billable rate. I have been selected at citi but HR is unable to release offer letter. This is because I have worked for citi as contractor or consultant in past but I don't remember my SP ID or GP ID which Citi provides to its temporary employees. HR is checking my SP ID or GP ID which was allocated to me in the past but I don't recall it is. HR is checking this with US team and this process is taking time. If they cannot extract it due to some reason, will they release my offer letter? Please clarify this.
