I pick up and drop off my nanny. She needs us as much as we need her. The minute any of us get sick, we move to plan B where my husband and I rotate hours watching the kids (if possible). We are in this together until we can’t be.
I think you did a good thing for all of you. Hopefully you all have been self-quarantining the last 2 weeks and limiting exposures. Don’t beat yourself up - I would have made the same choice (mom of 2 kids, in daycare which is closed so WFH with them - productivity at about 25%).
You are helping her and she’s helping you. Not irresponsible at all. Just be sure you are both agreed on new cleaning and hand washing requirements
As long as you’re self quarantined and so is she, then you’re safe together.
We kept ours too and agreed that we would all self quarantine including her roommate. In this instance, our nanny and her roommate are our extended family. We are all trusting each other but have been open and honest. It’s that or I can’t really work.

I would have liked to do the same but ours has a big family and I just can’t be sure of his interactions. He was down to stay with us but it didn’t feel like the right thing to do for us. So I’m working 25% during the day and then working the night shift as I’ve been calling it.
