Had a phone interview for EY senior 1 BTS. I told her I needed them to match my salary at a smaller tax credit firm. She told me it probably wasn’t possible because my salary is in line with an EY BTS manager. However, she emailed a few days later saying the hiring partner wanted to meet me.

Do I have a shot at being matched or will they ask me to take a large pay cut?

I’ve been asked by a client to coach their team on how to structure and write scripts for their corporate event content (e.g. panel discussions). I’ve happily had a crack at helping them but it’s a bit out of my wheelhouse - is this ask something that would ordinarily be given to an agency copywriter? I spent a year in tax investigations where I believe I was thriving ( I was going to be an assistant manager in July 2023), I had a lot of assistant manager jobs, I even drafted a Code 9 report to HMRC which my manager said was 80% of an actual report, he then added the 20% and submitted it.
After I realised I couldn't maintain all the unpaid overtime I was working I decided to take a turn and go to compliance, so now I work in CT compliance. I feel very surpressed.
