“Large airline in Dallas”
“Beverage company in Atlanta”
“Retailer in Bentonville"
This would even be a stretch. Global airline. Fortune 500 beverage company. Fortune 100 retailer. That's all you need.
Just claim NDA and give a description of clients like “6 Fortune 500 companies in 3 different markets” or something like that.
Major telecom provider. Fast Casual Restaurant that makes Mexican food...etc...
Maybe it was a test 🤔
In reality I have named clients verbally. Unless it’s truly a NDA situation like an unannounced M&A deal (and I do work in M&A), it’s not like some government secret with lives hanging in the balance.
“FAANG, ever heard of em?”
I had a client ask me if I was legally in the US. Lol
That's like unacceptable in my book. If your colleagues suggested it, that's one thing. But if they "suggested" it, and you're a consultant that feels like they're not in a position to say no, that's not ok.
I believe it was a test. If I were to interview a consultant and get some of his clients names it would be a very red flag for me..
i had a partner ask me what was my immigration status when I moved to this country (*immigrant, US citizen for 15 years)
Legal status is for the firm to inquire. I’ve had managers ask about legal status when they are trying to staff gps projects. Clients don’t have the right to ask any such things
