Hi fishes,I have around 5.2 yrs of hands on exp in data engg. and able to clear service based companies interviews easily. Now I want to switch to product based companies as I am looking for some good work, good salary but I am not really strong in dsa as it's not part of my daily work.I don't really use trees and graphs as part of my daily work.
How shall I switch to product based companies considering DSA is their 1st round itself.what level of DSA can I expect from companies for data engineer position?

This post confuses me very much
What is your current salary? 1.5 years is not a lot of weight for you to be pushing the salary request much higher than what you currently make.

I say no less than $250k
269k at least
You say it with a straight face but expect reality to simmer you down. Meaning ask for what you want and be prepared not to get it. What are their engagement margins? With just 2 ppl, I assume pretty high around 65% where the partner draws his income from profits after bills are paid, mostly your salary which means he’s probably not willing to do more than 35% of revenues. Your experience doesn’t command more than that but their circumstances might.
Say you want $84k and be firm.
yeah i’m going to but i have like no leg to stand on lmao i don’t know much. but the kid leaving is using one check a month just to pay rent HCOL

Sounds like you're being offered a commission-based role instead of a salaried role. You can make tons of $ but it will be hard. Ask more questions about # hours required and the type of work.
I wouldn't do it, because I like the stability of a salary, but for you, you could learn a ton and figure out how to be entrepreneurial like the head honcho
lmao it’s on an island at the beach
