Happy Saturday! How often do you find yourself working on the weekends? Are you salary or hourly? I’m hourly and I have to work every other weekend.

Welcome to supply chain management. There are no days off my friend.

like

Correct but if have a big team and coverage you shouldn’t be working literally every day. You need days off and vacation time or else you go mad!

I'm salary and sometimes I have to grin it and bear it over the weekend! If something goes wrong at the warehouse, then I have to go down there or hop on some calls. Not often but it happens

Oh nice, so you are hybrid then it seems like. I used to do that.

I work 1 weekend a month, and I'm salary. Part of our job is to ensure everything is ready to run on Mondays.

Never. Never will.

I’m salary and we are 24/7/363.5. I work saturdays and it’s fine. I can do the same shit during the week

Haven’t work a Sat in 26 years, but I did plenty in the early days..salary

I always end up doing a little work on Saturdays. Most times it's just an hour or so in the early afternoon.

Me too! I usually am logged in for a few hours on Saturday.

I try not to ever work on weekends. That's a strong boundary that I have.

Good! Some people work doesn’t allow that but luckily I work pretty much every other Saturday.

I'm on salary and work a 3 on 4 off schedule. I work Sat-Mon and I'm off the rest of the week, so weekends don't really exist to me.....

Salary for me. I'd say I find myself working on weekends about once a month typically on a Saturday morning or afternoon if emergencies come up.

Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

I have been offered a position at a non-US B4 with a 2 year path to partner. I know one of the partners at the local firm and have the support of the regional service line lead, and am bringing a specialized skill set they are trying to open a new business around. The KPIs seem achievable and I’ll be in charm school to help build support within that timeline. Most of me thinks a 2 year path under these circumstances realistic but my inner skeptic is jaded. It’s very discouraging to continuously receive these rejection emails. With 9 years of supply chain experience, I am not sure why I would not be able to at least get an interview for entry level roles that require no experience. Not just this one pictured but others as well. I’ve applied to maybe 60 positions since May, both mid level and “entry” and no interviews. I’ve had my resume professionally re-written twice. Not sure where the disconnect is. Anyone else going through this same thing?
