You have to mention your tech stack as well. Everyone is anonymous here. Tho yoe and ctc gives an idea about market standards. So bathane mein kya jatha hai, kya patha wo kisi junior engineer ko help hojaye.

Not sure. However, sometimes I feel there is an unwritten rule to mention your YOE and CTC in the post. I guess it helps solving pay disparity (maybe).

I do think it helps people understand the disparity. Sometimes question warrants it.
I've asked a couple of people myself. I've even DMed people to ask about their interview experiences. It has given me courage, some understanding and referrals as well.
I think this platform is amazing and will help a lot of people with referrals, advices and unique connections.
So maybe seemingly unrelated question of YOE and CTC might be able to help others.

Yes it's necessary to mention CTC and YOE, as sometimes hike or appraisal depends on that .If you are currently taking more CTC as compared to you YOE so chances are you will get less hike as already you are in higher paid zone, while if you have average CTC as per your CTC and you are star performer you are going to get good hike
Dell gives anywhere from 8 to 15% of hike every year. If you're hitting the ceiling for the position, hike will move towards 5% until you get promoted.

I am rejected my many companies even after clearing all interview rounds because " I am asking for too much money with my YoE" so, I think HR also consider YoE
