I’ve done it. Wasn’t too bad when you’re just getting through the content. It’s most important to just to be consistent with your study plan and focus on understanding, not memorization. Starting ~2-3 weeks before each exam is when you’ll really have to lock in and will probably have to sacrifice in other areas of your life. I probably stressed a little more than I needed to over each exam because I didn’t want to risk having to repeat exams. I ended up passing L1/L2 with flying colors and I’m just assuming I passed comfortably on L3.
All you need is references and a good explanation for how your work experience “relates to the investment decision-making process or produces a work product that informs or adds value to that process.” You’d have to do a critique of what you do in your job and see if it fits into that description (and then sell it to CFAI and see if they agree).
I used to get breakfast there. But as I get older the grease is harder for my system to handle.
The answer is no - no one has ever done the CFA while in consulting. I hope this makes sense
As with most times when consultants say “I hope this makes sense”, it did not.
It’s been done, but it’s tough, you’ll need to be disciplined to find the time to practice/prepare daily
Yes I’ve done it. It was “required” from sm+ promotion in corporate finance group (never informed due to fail rate). It’s valuable to know but also worthless now with access to infinite info via LLM imo
Isn’t it all that more valuable now though as it’s a scarce credential!
