Has anyone downloaded ChatGPT or something like it to their work devices? I mean, I can't think of a reason not to, but my husband works in tech and says it could be a security concern, and my employer might be mad if I download these apps. I feel like he's exaggerating, who's right?

Loading personal apps onto your work devices can be dangerous. It is generally advisable to avoid it unless explicitly permitted by your employer. You should check with some of your colleagues.

like

No, it’s blocked.

like

Depends on your firms policy about downloading personal apps to work laptop. I personally wouldn’t cos it’s just another reason that can be used to against you if it came down to it . in this case, I will side with your husband as it’s not worth the risk, unless your firm specifically allows it

I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.

Hey so just to check on my part. I worked at a place where we went to a firm happy hour and women attorneys were there. A picture was passed around of a really hot woman on Instagram who they are oggled , later after the woman left some guy talked about all the quote whores he slept with. The women weren't sex workers presumably. I'm a male this behavior seems inappropriate to me and made me uncomfortable. Am I expected to exhibit this level of 1950s machismo in my day-to-day life?

Anyone from EY-Parthenon, what does a typical senior consultant look like resume/experience wise? If I have audit and FDD experience as a Senior for 3 years (currently in FDD), a CPA, no MBA, is that enough to get in to EY-P? Or is the MBA basically required? What would I be missing? Thanks!
