I have and the best decision I made. The myth is you make less money in industry. that is false. You actually get to experience the REAL world in a way you cannot experience as a consultant - Believe me..no matter how much a "trusted advisor" you are. After coming back into consulting I feel so much more confident and can relate to my clients. just do it.

If you're at a place in your career where you'd be willing to move to a better situation horizontally for +/- 15% salary, then industry is better than consulting, whose major career benefit is an unimpeded path to the top so long as you have some talent and put on the effort. Not to say that there are no promotions in industry, it's just not the place to be if you want to ascend 3 levels from where you are in 6 years.
Boomeranged once already (not the same firm though). Decided it wasn’t industry I didn’t like as much as the field I was in.
Debating. I have not but maybe soon 🤷🏻♀️
Do our certifications hold as much weight in industry? How is licensing handled?
Having come from industry, most places don't care about your certs, or the number of them. I'm fact, I've been at some places that won't pay for the exams.
