I'm so lucky to have solid freelance contacts across the US that keep things relatively steady but I've applied to 4-5 new FT gigs every week for the past 104 weeks with not even one screening call.

I can't imagine what it's like for the folks having to sift through applicants (spam or not), but I AM curious what percentage of these opportunities are legit.

How do you create the visual direction of a print campaign for example? Is it generally just about creating a mood board that sets the look and feel? Should it be specific (as in drawing or illustrating) with the pose and the framing?

Cause my thinking is more of the former where you give the photographer their own take of the idea. Curious to know how you do it.
