My firm has applied for my L1A visa. If that gets denied, my plan is to travel to Canada and re enter US immediately on B1/B2 visa (already have valid B1/B2 stamp) so that I'll get time to figure out things here in the US (sell my stuff, handle my bank accts etc). Having struggled with visa for the past ~6 years, I have become extremely cynical. I don’t trust real friendships anymore because friends turned into competitors or got too burdened to maintain the friendships.
I feel somewhat disgusted when my coworkers or managers tried to “build rapport” with me.
I understand the value of doing so, but my repulsion inevitably showed through my apparent desire to end small talks as soon as possible.

Looking to hire lawyers for my EB1A application. Talked to a few and really enjoyed my conversation with Xu Law Group. They seemed really knowledgeable and know what they are doing. Their reviews are glowingly positive but I don’t have any personal references.

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter.
