Has anyone heard/worked at the management consultancy firm Optimus Sbr ? If so what are thoughts/reviews of their accelerator program?

I am working as a backend developer with 8+ years of experience in .Net. Can someone please suggest any hands on courses for cloud technologies.P.S.- I do not have any exposure to cloud technologies.

I’m thinking of making a switch from 4YOE in Industry to Public as a senior associate in Assurance. Do PA firm expect you to already know everything, or do they provide training to help you catch on? How challenging is it coming from industry to PA? What could be some of their expectations? And how do you exceed that?

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. Curious on whether people are thinking about the ethics of their exit company when deciding to move?

See a lot of people slamming their “big firm” experience and wanting to move on from it. I’ve got 2YOE but not at a big firm and can’t help feeing I’m missing out on something (name brand, skills, network etc). Is it better not to chase it and go somewhere else (tech / startups etc) rather than trying to get in at entry level ?

Thoughts on moving into (dream) industry 1 year and 9 mo in consulting: entry level analyst role for comparable pay and 9-6? Vs senior analyst, which seems to require 2-3 yrs of experience... (con’t)

Hi Fishes, im currently in energy consulting domain. 6 yr YEO. Non IT background with PG. took up a course on advanced certifn. in DS and AI w Intellipaat in the hopes of a hike or a possible career transition. CTC is 7.9 .

I’m working for an agency where Art Directors are essentially managers of designers. Art Directors are promoted from Senior Designer, we have no Junior Art Directors.

Feel like I’ve come to a point in my consulting career where I’ve reached the end of what this job can provide me, career-wise and as an opportunity for personal/professional development. I’m planning to apply to a masters program, which would kick off next fall, but need to stay where I am between now and then to be able to pay for school. Should I get a CPA for Transaction Due Diligence?
I’m a new grad working in FDD and I’m trying to decide if becoming a CPA is worth it. I do not plan on staying in accounting in the future. I’m more interested in strategy work. I certainly do not want to do Audit. Would you recommend getting the CPA considering my career aspirations? Do you think it’s worth it? If not, what is the best way to use my time efficiently?

Does it take 2 years to get to Senior? Then how long for Experienced? Do we always have to get to Experienced first before hitting Senior?

I am currently finishing off my bachelors degree in Finance whilst working. I have decided to go back to study during covid. I do have 12 years experience in banking roles/credit assessment and more. Senior attorneys at v100, how common is it for attorneys who start at small firms to lateral to biglaw? Have you worked with any? Conventional wisdom is always that if you don’t start there it’s hard to “trade up”. My coworker and I just did it to two different great v30 firms, and I’m wondering if it’s really that uncommon? Just out of curiosity. We’re not special counsel with special niche skills or anything, just associates. Pitfalls to beware? Positives?
