Has anyone made the leap to big law and can provide some insight? I've been at a small firm for a while and I'm looking to aim higher. Any advice or feedback is welcome. Thanks

Be prepared to work your butt off. With that comes higher compensation (usually) but you’ll have less time for everything. I started delegating everything out that I could to save time (ex: meal prep service) and that helped. But there’s no getting around the grind of it all.

I believe in the philosophy of learning from other's experiences, success stories, mistakes and regrets while keeping in mind that similar set of life events may unfold into totally different ways/outcomes for others as there are always too many variables in the equation called LIFE. People may arrive at different destinations at different times while being on the almost similar path.

That being said-

What would you say is a reasonable number of cases per number of staff in a PI firm? What number is manageable and what is a number you would say is going into the realm of malpractice. For example for about 150 cases I know of a firm that has about 3 attorneys and 4 support staff. But some have 400-500 with 2 attorneys & 1 support staffer. What are your thoughts or how many cases is your firm currently handling?

I do digital marketing for a PI firm. I want to chat about Yelp. Obviously it’s a platform built for consumers, not for businesses. Naturally, former clients go there to bash or rave about their experience. While I know Yelp’s algorithm, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on pushing the negative reviews down so they’re not the first few that populate? The review replies are specific, detailed, & to the point as to why they’d write it, the outcome of their case, etc. I appreciate any help!

I am looking into starting my own firm with one other attorney. I have never been a partner or solo so I am trying to figure out best practices right now. Thank you all in advance! This is pretty daunting.
