Hiring a trainer would be a great idea. But it's good to just start slow and make sure to take walks. Just moving around a bit every day can help, it's easy to get too sedentary staring at computer screens. I started walking about five years ago and I've dropped 40 pounds that I gained parking myself for too long in an office chair. It's easy to get into a sedentary rut.

Stress can do wild things to your body. A trainer might help, but don't forget that physical stress is stress too in case that's the cause of your health changes. A varied, well-rounded diet can make a massive difference.
