Has anyone rented from Avis recently? I just got an email saying that anyone renting using a corporate AWD code must show ID and proof of employment at pickup. Is this standard practice now? If so, I’m SOL since I grabbed that AWD off the master discount list that floats around here.

A friend of mine introduced me to the portal when I filed a complaint explaining the matter in detail, uploading Twitter DM screenshots, where the company was clearly denying responsibilities on the above.

Took 2 months but today my refund was initiated by Goibibo.

Marriott screwed my room by double booking the room due to a glitch in the system and having another set of guests walk into my room in the middle of my biz meeting - a bit of a startling/annoying experience - they’ve apologised for it - is this worth any points? This was roughly at 4pm in the afternoon so thankfully wasn’t doing anything too private..
