Has anyone transitioned from a corporate tax role to a more finance-oriented position? I have 16 years of experience. My recent 7 years have been in M&A Tax. Before that, I spent 7 years doing corporate income tax operations (provision, compliance, audit). My first job was in Finance for 2 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Finance and an MS in Taxation. Been trying to figure out where in Finance I can pivot to without having to go back to school for an MBA. Thoughts?

Why leave m&a tax for finance? Any role that you get with or without an MBA would be a decent pay cut.

What’s making you want to leave M&A tax ? Is transferring to FDD an option for you ?
