Has anyone with a biomedical engineering + consulting background exited to Apple, Google, Verily, or similar places? Tech role or business role?

I’d like to one day become a PI at a research university. What can I do to set myself up for that path as a first-time research assistant?

Google and Microsoft (or other FAANG), do you have to be based at an office or do they allow fully remote work for some new employees? Trying to find a marketing role, but living several hours from the closest offices for any big tech and COL is great where I am.

I joined Genpact 10 days ago and my Onboarding session is done but after that I didn't get any call from my supervisor or HR for the laptop delivery, shift timings nd all. When I am trying to connect with my HR and Supervisor through email, they are not replying and hiring manager is not picking up the call.

How's everyone doing? I was on social media today and reading about the Adam Toledo video and it took me back to last June, which on top of the pain from seeing this racist system continue to win out, June was my lowest billing month and hurt my confidence about hitting hours compared to my white peers.

Diagnosed with ADHD at 40. Tried Vyvanse for a couple of months. It works in terms of depriving grogginess, afternoon post meal crash, and suppressing appetite (at times).

However, I still needed help planning/prioritizing my day,  listening and active note taking, and keeping myself accountable. So decided to replace meds with coffee. Also, the fact that most people on meds had to progressively increase their medication over time did not sit well with me. (cont'd)

Hey folks, I want to exit into industry by year end, and ideally I’d like to target associate director or SM roles at biopharma (thinking corp strategy, Portfolio planning, BD&L). I have roughly 2 YOE with a PhD. A large proportion of the companies I am interested in (cell and gene tx) are based in Boston, but I’m wondering how the opportunities are in New York, since I might be moving there to be closer to my S/O. Will I have more or less options, and will remote options be here to stay?
