Has anyone worked with a narcissistic coworker or manager? My manager for 3 years is very charming and charismatic and makes things about her. I’m afraid to call it out as she has very close relationships with the Partners and strong influence in the team. However, this person has manipulated me many times over the years and said different things when I reported to the upper management. It felt like gaslighting. I got promoted because of her recommendation, and withheld now because she said so.

Colleague said “oh hello, who the fuck are you?” When I brought up what I guess was an unwanted opinion. This was years ago when I was more junior.

Another salesman told a client their ad campaign would be ready next week. Today our supervisor told me to help him, but he has hardly even started the work. Is there any way for me to point this out without feeling like a jerk

Part of a BD now, thinking of going on my own as RIA. Costs would be about 50% less, which makes it seem like an obvious choice. Have a deep family friend relationship with current firm, though. I think there should be more males caretakers in this world. Some of my clients just feel more comfortable with a guy and it's kind of sad how often they say I'm the only male they could find.

So embarrassed. I literally had one job to do today which was to schedule a client and give and take her paperwork when she came in. Totally called her by the wrong name today AND gave her the wrong paperwork. She was really nice about it but I feel like my boss was disappointed and I'm disappointed in myself.
