Happy Friday all! Let’s get after it today

HCL Technologies offer being delayed and recruiter keeps saying that there's a problem with their "Offer release portal system." I have already stated my issues with relocating until after I have the offer signed and ready. The project is supposed to start on the 19th and I'm supposed to join before, or on that date. It's already coming up soon and I don't have the official offer so that I can confidently start the relocation process. Has anyone else recently dealt with this?

OP, each company has a different culture. As a partner, if I met with a senior consultant a few times, I personally wouldn’t want to be sold on their business case. I’d want to talk about how things are going, how that person is growing, what they see as next for us etc. on promotion, id want them to let me know they were up for promotion and that they have support from the manager and senior manager because of x, y, z and ask me was there anything I needed to see from them to support the promotion. But each firm and partner is different. Recommend you ask some folks that know him/her better what would resonate
Lol thanks A1 but I am not at ACN

Kiss his A$$ and you’ll be fine
Ask for lots of feedback but come prepared with a “case.” Meaning a brief portfolio of your achievements and accolades. If you feel confident and trust them, ask them what the right next step is for you. So if they’re just your boss, don’t but if they are a mentor, maybe the next step isn’t a promotion but connecting you with her or his contacts for a better job elsewhere. Be super open, humble and confident.
Do you work closely with this Partner? Most of the time I would take the input from my managers and senior managers to determine if you were ready for promotion. How well do you know the Partner, does he/she understand your role and responsibilities, do you meet regularly? I would need to understand that in order to advise you on what to say
He is the lead partner on the engagement and not around much but have spoken with him few times and he knows I am doing some managerial tasks
