Seeking any and all advice. Given my experience at Big 4 Advisory has been geared towards implementation / execution, looking for the promised land in a more strategy-focused role at Kearney in the Consumer & Retail group. I have a first round in the coming weeks and was wondering if someone would be willing to chat about the group and recruiting process? Thanks! Kearney

I think you could do better, I’m looking for 100% remote positions that are around the same level and I’m finding lots for 120k+.
Much different when you have experience in the role vs trying to break into the role.
I’m getting $125k as Senior Accountant for industry close to construction in HCOL. I’d expect $160-$200k for assistant controller. I don’t have a clear understanding of the titles between manager/assistant controller though.
What industry and cost of living? Seems low

Seems reasonable - in real estate assistant controller is often a senior accountant
There are no guarantees friend, it’s not an offer until it’s in writing
I’m in MCOL in Texas and just accepted an assistant controller role for 115k. I have 5 YOE and 5 days in office. I could have probably tried to get more but I’m not too worried as I’ll have more leverage the next raise cycle. The questions I think would be helpful: What’s the revenue of the company and how large is it employee wise and how big is the department that you’ll be managing? These should all factor into how much you should be getting paid.
5 days working, 4 days in office *
Yeah it’s too low. Assistant controller is like manager level. The bump should be a bit higher
