Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Slalom Consulting this might be a total long shot, but I recently finished the interview process with slalom and they gave me a *verbal* contingent offer for an incoming contract. However, I just found out I might have to relocate to Boston soon. I would love to stick with slalom as the goal company, but wondering if I could talk to the recruiter about transferring my application to the Boston office? Any advice? TY!

Benefits as in brand recognition or comp package? If the latter, the offer includes bonus, retirement fund profit sharing (10% of comp, including bonus, into retirement fund), free healthcare...
I was thinking comp. I understood it to be watered down.
If you are a sought after resource and leave on good terms, you can always boomerang back. Sounds like you aren’t “all in” at D anyway, so why not take a shot?
On track for SM next year at Deloitte. Total possible comp is higher at Platinion, but also introduces risk. Would you move?
What will make you happier? Current opportunities and network or more money?
Personally I'd probably stick here with those numbers you are pulling.
I don’t like the focus on biz dev that Deloitte forces at the manager level, even more so at SM. Sense I got from Platinion interviews is my primary focus would be on client service
Have to weight your options, if you’re willing to start over (your brand, network, etc.) then the choice is obvious. I’ve been in a similar predicament lately, and haven’t convinced myself to let go of my brand and network at current firm.
But ultimately you want to move to biz dev though if you want to stay in consulting long term, it’s the only way up anywhere in consulting.
Do you want to make partner one day? If yes, staying at D would be faster, and once you make it, comp evens out quickly down the road. But otherwise, BCG is a stronger brand name that will lead to better opps
Platinion has MDs, but they don’t own equity in BCG.
