Yup you should negotiate . To be honest it doesn't always work out but the firms are always competing with each other . Or better still use that offer and try get to EY . You might just get a huge jump

We should definitely do that... The worst case scenario you join PwC at the next level

Got the call today about promotion - super excited for this next leg. Also a bit nervous given performance expectations and the market right now. I know things will improve and I'm in a great service line with huge future growth potential, but a little daunting nonetheless. Great way to start the weekend!

What level should I be considered after 2 years, 6 projects produces, several awards/nominations (Webby, Shorty, Clio)…Im asking bc the creative manager at my agency just told me that I’m “still a junior,” as I’m barely “fresh out of school” and will be getting a raise of around 5% (which will amount to …..$3000).

I feel like I should be thought of as a mid level? And then be compensated as such? But honesty I could be being delusional. Level set me!

I work for a Fortune 100 company and I recently received promotion that left me with negative feelings. I was talked out of another position at $200k+ in another business unit in my company because the role I’m being offered now is comparable and per management - “that’s where we hire people in to learn about the business… you’d be bored in a year”. I’m being told over and over that I’m indispensable. They offered me $115k per year. I have no idea how to approach this conversation. Wisdom?

Advice needed! I’m currently a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience (2 from agency and 1 from corporate). I live in Philadelphia PA. I started my current role at 55k base (no commission) in March of 2021. I asked for a 10k raise at my 1 year mark and I was offered a 5k raise and then a 5k bonus. I’m really hesitant to push back and negotiate to get the full 10k raise because I’m still relatively junior, and only been here for a year. I can’t help but feel underpaid though. Please help!

I was just offered a promotion to Sr Strategy Analyst and I’d like to negotiate the base comp from $109 to $116 at least. I would love to hear how others have navigated this conversation.

My points are:
1. I have both supply- and demand- side experience.
2. I have a proven record of dedication to the company w/ examples. (This is a leadership rotational program so it shows I’m invested in the company.)
3. I didn’t rec a raise in 2020 bc Covid so at a normal rate I would be making ...

I've been freelancing for an agency part time on and off since November and low-balled myself for $50/hour because I was unemployed and desperate for work at the time. I have worked on a lot of interesting stuff for them for my book but I have a full-time now and I want to raise my rate to $75/hour. Is it better to ask for that now or to ask for $60 now and $75 next year? What's a good way to ask for the increase? I value their relationship so I want to be reasonable.
