So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Questions/comments
1. How many years experience do you have?
2. What was/is your experience to date if not in traditional “consulting”?
3. What role are you offered?
4. If they offered you, obviously the partner and your future team members thought you brought something to the table.
5. Be sure to ask the right questions about setting and meeting expectations.
6. You may struggle somewhat initially until you understand their processes, then things should come quicker to you.
7. Congratulations on getting an offer from the MBB as that’s no small accomplishment
I don’t perform. What are the usual attrition rates and how soon do they start weeding people out. Thanks.
Imposter Syndrome is REAL on consulting. Also, what do you mean you haven’t worked in Consulting, your title says you work at Deloitte?
If you got the offer, they believe and see the potential for you to do well. They, like your current firm (?), have a comprehensive training program, give it a year. It’ll be intense AF, but you can do it.
Former BCG here: if you have a decent attitude you will not get fired quickly. Plenty of successful people don't get promoted (~25%) to PL and start getting shown the door around 18 months. That's not a huge deal, you still get the resources of the firm to help you find a new job and you get paid for a couple months afterwards.
Don’t shy away from the challenge. You got through the case interviews. Real life engagements are harder, but doable. And remember, you’ll have a team to support you. You’ll need to support them too. If you don’t like it, no shame in leaving after :)
Strange thing is you went through the entire drama of bcg hiring process and asking the question now. In my case I have been referred and still can’t get hold of the HR.
