Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. Tech is big about individual contributor roles. I assume you are in Big 4 consulting. Some Ms and virtually all SMs usually delegate almost all their hands on work in those firms and focus on business development and upward management. That’s not how tech works. If you think the work is SC or C level work, you likely will not be a fit for the role.
Thanks SM1. I’ve always been known as a pretty hands on manager and it actually may work better for my personality type. Just wanted to understand the context. Been working in consulting my whole life (for various reasons), so trying to understand better what to expect in the industry now. Really appreciate your insights.
...more junior than what I do now especially given I have good chances for the SM promotion next year. It’s pretty much the work C and SC would do on my team, individual contributor. On the other hand I really want to gain different experience (never worked in the industry), travel less, work closer to the product, and earn more. The roles range from project manager to system and data controller (which is similar to technical PM) from what I understand). Is it normal when you switch to the industry role? I have 12 YOE and live in SF.
What’s the comp range? If it’s a big bump, I’d take it. I’m assuming you’re being considered for L5 roles
Real question is are you okay with a 40% raise to now be an IC?
40% raise? What level and what sort of TC?
SM1 has it right. Source: I'm ex FAANG
