I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Hi all,
Do firms match offers from other Big 4s for campus hires? I’ve received a campus offer from both KPMG and EY. I’m more interested in the EY offer, but they are paying 3k less than KPMG.
Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.
Thanks!

It might be difficult finding a remote job these days. A lot of companies have really come out against the idea of remote work. And with the current job market so tight, they probably assume they can offer non-remote jobs to people and find enough candidates to fill them. With your years of experience, you should probably be doing all the networking you can. Talk to your professional contacts and see if you can find a position via word of mouth. In tough job markets that's sometimes what delivers.

There are very few legit remote roles right now. Many companies will want you in the office at least 2-3 days per week. You would have to look at hybrid or fully in office.
It sticks since many jobs within Accounting don't need to be in the office multiple days per week. But management needs to justify keeping the leases and other related expenses on the buildings they have.
