Have been working for the state for a couple years now, left a major insurance company after many years' service bc bad management, little room to advance and the need to do something different. ( I had been working there since 18) Now feel like I make less than I did before with the package etc from the state I receive. I now have 2 jobs, and my part time job through a local gas station chain to be a manager and make more than I am making with the state. Would I be crazy to go ?

What is the usual hike percentage one should expect after RT?

I want to ask for a 20%raise, knowing that the company is planning the year budget around now should I give my manager a heads up as to what I’m expecting before my salary review? I got a 0.6% raise at the start of 2020 and a 4% in April this year. The raise this year came with the title of “Lead” and more work responsibilities, talking with a co-worker we now make about the same amount. I started working here right out of college (10 years).

I have received an offer from KPMG Global Services, HR said there will be 10-20% yearly bonus apart from fixed CTC. But % numbers are not mentioned in the offer letter, Just they mentioned it as " You will be eligible for Performance bonus as per the company policy".

When I checked with HR for bonus % is not mentioned in the offer letter, she said... its not mentioned for everyone. 10-20% is common across all employees.

The company KPMG was suppose to deduct my joining bonus and other things in final settlement. Last working day was last day of month , which means i got full salary.

My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. I have worked in municipal government for almost 17 years. I love what I do as an Inspector, but the environment is toxic, and administration horrible. I have an opportunity to go into the private sector side, as well a second interview for another municipality doing same job.
