Have friends who have job hopped (1 year or less) because of COVID layoffs, joining startup after startup happening over and over. Is this a generational thing because professionals earlier in their career are being exposed to this climate? I wonder how this will be affected by the possible recession and how it’ll be perceived by employers (especially if they weren’t “fired for cause” - I keep hearing the layoffs/numbers story over and over)

Got laid off today. Ironicly is I have been looking for a new job for over a year. I guess it's good that I no longer work in a toxic environment & no longer for a criminal. Heartburn from anxiety.

I have not been on a project for over 3 months. Since I joined, I have been put in training. The training got extended by a month and now it's close to 4 months since I joined and without a project.

What should I do? People say that I'm lucky to get paid without doing any work, but it is stressing me out. I need the experience. The uncertainty is freaking me out, with rumours of layoffs and the certification program and all.

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles.
