D all the way. Unless you like low bonuses.
No idea but I have worked at both EY and D and would say it’s pretty much the same culture. Although D is more diverse which I enjoy.
Most likely all the Deloitte hands on coding will be done in India unless it’s federal work. I was hired as a “data scientist” 6 months ago and haven’t touched any code yet.
I know of several others in DS with similar experiences.
Op, nope I was a lateral hire as a Consultant.
If the EY group is their Digital & Emerging Technology group, I’m not too aware of much AI/ML. We have a Data and Analytics group too but we don’t sell a ton of AI/ML work in my experience. Our Client Technology group probably is building the most in that space along with our Quantitative Advisory Services team, who are mainly PhDs.
The culture is better at EY from what I hear, but I know a couple at Deloitte who like it a lot. I would suggest picking which team better aligns with your interests.
This sounds about right. The team that I work for at D is bigger than the team at EY. D also has a broader client pool. So we end up working with more interesting/cutting edge clients.
I'm in Deloitte's applied AI group and I highly recommend it and Deloitte
Are you in the Applied AI team?
What team did you like better ?
Where will you learn more in your first few years.
Go with the strong network, opportunity to learn and mentoring early on. They money will work it self out as you learn and expand your network.
EY has "unlimited" pto which is a scam. Deloitte is not incredible but at least they pay you out when you leave lol

Valid point for sure. How much annual carryover is allowed?
Come to KPMG, we all code, even at the manager level though you’re expected to be selling and managing at that level. Happy to put in a referral for you(we need people).
Agree with SA1, at KPMG you will be coding definitely until manager level, and we have technical directors that also can end up coding a significant portion of the time. We are hiring btw :)
The applied AI practice at Deloitte is booming and we have a ton of great interesting projects.
What level would you be? Partner track in this practice is attractive given the growth we are experiencing.
Awesome. Good mix of technical and soft skills at that level, so depends on project on which you’d do more of. Lots of opportunities for either right now!
Good growth trajectory as well. Coming in at SC gives you a lot of time to build your network and grow the practice for sales and the such before P.

EY will be a better, more enjoyable culture to work at
