Have you ever dealt with partners who hide that a matter is pro bonk? in the last month I've had partners reach out to me and ask if I'm available to help on something, and I say yes. I work on it for a week or two until I finish the task. Then the partner gives me the billing number, and it's pro bono. My firm counts pro bono but I do have to hit a baseline of client billable credit.

I'm happy to help these clients, but it's funny that these partners didn't tell me it's pro bono.

Why aren’t you asking for the c/m number when you first get the assignment?

likesmart

I never mind when someone asks for c/m right away … I’ll just fwd to my assistant and you’ll get it (feeling may be different if partner is actually trying to sneak in pro bono work though)

I’m struggling to understand how the pro bono nature of a matter wouldn’t be obvious from the identity of the client. Because there’s no middle ground. Either you’re poor enough to qualify for pro bono (or a non-profit). Or you’re rich enough to pay big law rates.

This post is an alert message for anyone joining the Johnson & Johnson EMEA account for SAP & had Rakesh Sharma for their Manager round.

He is nothing less than a con man & will promise you a lot to make you join the account. After that he will put you in testing projects. If you ask for a release, he will either not release you or release with a very bad rating and influence other project managers to not take you into their projects.

You will be left with no choice other than leaving TCS.
