Happened to me 2 weeks ago. Still in shock. Happened right before my scheduled vacation. Say you wanted to ruin my trip without saying so. Anyway, my last day on vacay, I was unable to get out of bed. Then I started looking for puppies and thata what got me out of bed. I know it may seem counterintuitive to being home a new puppy but, it brings me joy to watch my pups play and that is how im coping. Take care of youraelf first. Hugs and good luck on your journey. As a RM, I do cost benefit analysis all the time, sometimes, its not just about the money. Good luck!
Make sure to take time for yourself. Develop a routine to avoid spiraling. And remember any time an employee gets let’s go, for whatever reason, it doesn’t define your worth as a worker or a person.
Was supposed to join a company in May & voluntarily left my job. 3 days before starting, I had my offer rescinded because of “macroeconomics”. Hang in there & develop your skills. Interview skills are important, your hard skills that make you qualified for your next role, and finally, just find time for yourself & peace. By doing these things, I have 2 opportunities that have offered me a position 3 months later.
I was given a ‘transitional’ layoff May 21st, so my employment ended a month or so later at the end of June. I just signed an offer for my dream job with 40% increase in salary last Friday July 12th. Don’t be discouraged, good things are on the horizon! Most impactful thing I did was to leverage my network for referrals - brings your resume to the top of the pile.
