I have experience of 4.5 years in Salesforce development and I wanted to make a switch into SDE of a product-based firm.
 
My core agenda of doing the above is I want to make a contribution at a product level.

Working for a senior who is beyond horrible. She talks to you like you’re stupid and makes it sound like you’re absolutely terrible at what you’re doing. She’s made 5 other associates cry during her 5 year career. Got someone fired and made another person quit. It’s known around the office that she can no longer have a female associate, because she talks down to females more than she does males. I came along and thought I could deal with it but she literally makes me want to not log on tomorrow.

How do you deal with making mistakes at work? I’ve been doing good work lately but there’s one partner who thinks I’m mistake prone and I just made a mistake on something he asked me to do, but I corrected it quickly. However, there is public record of my mistake.

What salary should be expected of a business control role in Citadel securities, working under CFO/CRO office in NYC. With total 10+ YOE.

In the last two year I’ve gotten more and more into alcohol free beer. The selection in my country (Europe) is still small and mainly driven by the big brands (e.g. Heineken). My idea is to start my own small brewery which only produces alcohol free beer as a bit of a pendant to the booming local craft beer industry. How does a sole engineer at a company go about getting management to actually care how production machines run? what kind of strategy roles have folks pivoted to brand side, and where do you find openings? the few “brand strategist” jobs i’ve seen are 1. few and far between and 2. require 10+ years of experience

A good friend of mine graduated from Parsons this past summer, has degrees in Journalism and French, is a talented photographer and designer (which I feel I have a pretty decent eye for after working at a design-driven branding agency for half a decade). And I’m certain she’d make a fabulous junior AD or content strategist. Unfortunately she, like many in this pandemic, is still without a job. Any advice for her and/or shops/hiring managers/non-traditional job hunt tips to steer her towards?
