Honestly the only difference I’ve seen between strong juniors, mids and seniors is salary, not title. Hope that gives some insight as to what my advice would be.
Different agencies have different scales and levels of title inflation. A larger, more reputable agency or an agency with a focus area that aligns with your goals shouldn't be seen as a step down
I did once before becoming senior and instantly regretted it. Pay cuts are tough
I would try to avoid a pay cut, just mostly title. Ex: applying for AD roles, making sure my salary stays roughly the same
Just did it. Don’t do it. Only time this conversation with yourself matters is when you’re transitioning from a “doing the work” role to a “managing those who do the work” role. Just make sure before you move to managing, you feel good about the breadth of your experience and are more excited to mentor than create.
Thanks for the tip!
