Hi Ladies! I’m transitioning to a manager of a team I’ve been leading. There’s been a lot of turnover with the team and I feel like I’m having a hard time getting the team to see me more as an authoritative figure. For example, when I ask for volunteers on a simple task, no one replies. Should I just resort to assigning rather than asking? Also are there leadership books you suggest that I could read up on? Thank you!

Any tips for developing a book of business, particularly in management-side Labor and Employment? For example, any networking groups or organizations that have been helpful (and were they legal-related, general industry, or community groups like Junior League or non-profit Boards)? Hey all, would love some advice. I’m a Business Analyst with 5 YOE and minimal technical skills. And I’m really unhappy where I’m at. Very underpaid, and feel like I’m limited in job opportunities. I want to become more technical but no idea where to even start! I was thinking about starting with a certification but most seems really tough to learn as a newbie. Any guidance/advice on which certs to look at? Was thinking AWS cloud practitioner as a starting point? Any help welcomed!!
