Anyone from Boston Consulting Group Boston Consulting Group (BCG) working in non-consulting - Technology/Engineering/Global Services?
How's the work life balance? Glassdoor reviews are full of "long working hours" and hence wanted to know if it's the same with non-consulting folks as well?
How far is it true across the organisation?
Please help me shed some light to decide.
Thanks.

There could be other candidates in the pipeline that they are interviewing before taking the hiring decision.
I think it’s possible. However, the HR could have communicated the same as well. Ghosting is not cool 😊
Some of the reasons:
1. Interviews are still going on
2. HR is pretty slow here , rounds scheduling process is fast but package discussion or I should say package declaration (as there will be minimal chance of negotiation) part will take 1-2 weeks easily.
3. If your current package is higher than the grade MRR you are being interviewed for, then there will be some approvals needed before they can come to you with final amount.
One advise follow up evey week through mail asking if you are still considered or not so that you can be aware.
If you have cleared 7 rounds, then it's probably they are looking into other candidates as well. And they will make a call based on the ask as well. What's surprising is that you saying that CTC part isn't discussed yet. Maybe you don't want to share here. But in some cases folks here cannot help you without that info as well. HRs sometimes can ghost you if they're interviewing other candidates and feel they are better than you in terms of skill and cost. But given you had 7 rounds, I guess the cost factor is what is being considered before making the decision.
They will reach out mostly...

I received after 3 weeks from final round … so may be that could be the wait time
for which grade you are being interviewed, and what is agenda of 7 rounds, in my limited knowledge, 3-4 rounds are enough to evaluate any candidate, even only 2/4 are technical, rest are just behavioural and salary discussion.
I got my offer letter a month after clearing all rounds. They were interviewing other candidates before making a final decision.
HR was pretty transparent about it. You can make a phone call and ask the HR
